Statewide Representation
With offices in Columbia and Charleston, the practice group is able to provide thorough statewide coverage to clients, while also maintaining a strong presence in the local Charleston community. The firm is known and respected in Charleston’s business community and has extensive experience working with and appearing before city and county boards and commissions on such issues as zoning, business licensing, and tax matters.
Administrative Experience
The group’s attorneys are experienced administrative law litigators who possess extensive knowledge of state government. They have built a strong reputation in South Carolina that allows the firm to effectively represent the interests of its clients.
Group chair Michael Molony was instrumental in helping to establish the South Carolina Administrative Law Court and the South Carolina Captive Insurance Program. He serves on the Administrative Law Council and is a Special Advisor to the Department of Insurance on captive matters. The Chief Justice of South Carolina’s Supreme Court also appointed Michael to the Judicial Counsel.

The group’s attorneys also have extensive experience in the state’s appellate courts and may associate with members of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Appeals Practice Group to seamlessly handle appeals.
