Summary judgment granted

Duke R. Highfield, Victoria L. Anderson, and Russell G. Hines recently obtained a summary judgment decision on behalf of their client, a large-scale automotive company, in a seven-figure federal products liability action. The lawsuit arose from a vehicle collision involving a SUV, with the Plaintiffs alleging that the vehicle was defectively designed. Plaintiffs sought to hold the automotive company liable. The United States District Court for the District of South Carolina granted summary judgment in favor of Clement Rivers’s client after hearing arguments from all parties. The Court’s ruling resulted in a full dismissal of all claims against the firm’s client.
