It is no secret that the SC Workers’ Compensation Commission has been slowly introducing new ways to go paperless over the past couple of years. We attorneys have started submitting all of our briefs, apa submissions, and exhibits online, which should hopefully alleviate all those files that the commissioners have to transfer from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. This month, the Commission announced that adjusters may file an electronic Subsequent Report of Injury (SROI) in place of the Form 18. Hopefully this will make life easier for adjusters, at least when it comes to filing forms. Requests for informal conferences must still be submitted on a Form 18 by mail. For more information on the SROI, contact email@example.com.
