The South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission recently announced that insurance carriers and third party administrators may now submit certain commonly used claims forms via email. Electronic submission of forms could significantly cut down on the time and expense associated with filing hard copies through the mail.
The Commission will allow for electronic submission of the Forms 15, 17, 18, 19, and 20. If a Form is properly submitted and accepted by the Commission, record of the form’s acceptance will be posted to the Commission’s case management web portal, eCase. Please note that the Commission has issued detailed guidelines for submitting forms electronically and will require strict adherence to these guidelines in order to process forms correctly.
